Villa
Madama |
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| Villa
Madama is a typical residence of the Maltese nineteenth
century aristocracy. The original house was built
by Grand Master Antione De Paule in the seventeenth
century. It was rebuilt in the late nineteenth century
in its present Art Noveau architectural style. A
grand hallway flanked by four large rooms now leads
to more than 150 square metres of reception area.
The enticing garden area reflects the ancient lineage
of the property. An immaculately kept garden is
particularly attractive with a selection of mature
trees, many of which were planted more than one
hundred years ago. |
